About Me

HI, I’M PAUL.

PROFESSIONAL WEDDING-DAY WINGMAN.

I’m a wedding photographer, people person and professional wedding-day wingman.

I’ve been photographing weddings since 1995, but the story actually starts a little earlier.

BORN INTO IT.

My mum, Lilian, was a wedding photographer from 1975, so I quite literally grew up around weddings, cameras and everything that comes with them.

There’s something else I think is a little different about my story.

Because I learned the business from my mum, I’ve spent my whole career seeing weddings from both sides of the room.

She was a successful wedding photographer long before I entered the business, and growing up around her gave me an instinctive understanding of weddings that goes beyond taking photographs.

It’s probably why I’ve always been as interested in people as I am in pictures.

THE CAMERA IS ONLY 10% OF THE JOB.

THE OTHER 90% IS PEOPLE.

I’ve photographed more than 1,000 weddings, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that great wedding photography isn’t just about having a camera.

It’s knowing when to step in.

When to disappear.

How to organise a slightly chaotic family photo without becoming the wedding police.

How to calm things down when the day gets hectic.

And how to make people feel completely comfortable in front of a camera.

I DON’T WANT YOUR WEDDING TO FEEL LIKE A PHOTOSHOOT.

I’m there for the laughs, the hugs, the madness and the little moments you didn’t even realise were happening.

Of course, I’ll get the important photographs. The family shots. The portraits. The details. All the things you’ll want to look back on.

But I don’t want you spending your wedding day constantly being pulled away from it.

I’ll give you a little direction when it’s needed, then get out of the way.

You’ve got a party to enjoy.

WHY PAUL?

Because I’ll know when to step in and when to disappear.

I’ll organise your family without becoming the wedding police.

I’ll capture the moments you knew were coming — and plenty you didn’t.

And I’ll probably end up chatting to half your guests by the end of the night.

BORN INTO IT. STILL LOVING IT
